Gedling Policing Inspector

Gedling Inspector

I joined Nottinghamshire Police in 1998 and served at Newark for several years before moving to Ollerton in 2002 as an advanced driver forming part of the Response Unit covering the whole of Bassetlaw, Newark & Sherwood from that base.

I began acting Sergeant duties whilst at Ollerton and remained as a Sergeant supervising a team of officers across Bassetlaw.

I returned to Newark on promotion to Sergeant in April 2004 and managed a combined response officer and beat manager team at Newark with a particular responsibility for the Magnus & Devon Wards.

In the summer of 2009, I became a temporary Demand Management Inspector on the County West area of Bassetlaw Newark & Sherwood. I covered this role for 18 months before returning to Newark as the Neighbourhood Beat Sergeant for three months.

In April 2011, I was again selected to be a Demand Management Inspector covering what then made up the County South area of Newark & Sherwood, Gedling, Rushcliffe and Broxtowe.  I continued in this role assuming responsibility for the now County South area of Gedling, Rushcliffe and Broxtowe after Newark & Sherwood re-joined Bassetlaw.

In October 2014, the position of Neighbourhood Inspector at Gedling North became available and I didn't hesitate in taking the opportunity lead the policing team on this varied and exciting area.

In February 2016 I became Inspector for Gedling.

I am completely focused on ensuring my team work with all our partner agencies and the public alike to deliver an excellent service on Gedling.
