Nottinghamshire Neighbourhood Watch (NottsWatch) represents the interests of Neighbourhood Watch members, schemes and associations throughout the City of Nottingham and County of Nottinghamshire.
Its objectives (through self-help and in collaboration with Partners) are to promote, develop and strengthen the Neighbourhood Watch movement throughout Nottinghamshire, to help prevent and reduce crime & anti-social behaviour and the fear of them, and to develop stronger, supportive & safer communities.
NottsWatch is a registered charity (No. 1156310) currently run by an Executive Committee of eight Trustees, these being elected at an Annual General Meeting each year - from the membership, by the membership.
NottsWatch has formal links with the Neighbourhood and Home Watch Network (NHWN), also known as Ourwatch, and the East Midlands Forum (EMF) for County NW Associations. It has an Advisory Committee (chaired by the Chair of NottsWatch), comprised of senior officers from Nottinghamshire Police and representatives of the City and County Councils and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
In addition, NottsWatch has a sub-committee known as the Management Board, which is tasked to carry out the ongoing management of the organisation in order to achieve the strategic objectives as determined by the Executive Committee. The Management Board consists of the Trustees, plus representatives of key Partners (such as Nottinghamshire Police, City & County Councils and the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner), and additional elected, suitably experienced NW Co-ordinators responsible for schemes operating within the City or County.
